A DRIVE in the United Kingdom will be the prize on offer for the 2022 Radical Cup Australia champion.
The winner at the conclusion of the five-round series will receive a funded entry in a round of the UK’s Radical Challenge, which brings together the best of the one-make competition in a series of events across the country each year.
Now entering its 21st season, the Radical Challenge is Radical’s premier UK & European Racing Series.
The prize announcement reinforces the global nature of one-make Radical competition which now features 12 separate championships around the world.
As well as the core UK-based championships, which includes a separate series for the V8-powered SR1 entries and the Radical Challenge for SR3 and other models from the brand, Radical-backed series can be found in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, the Gulf / United Arab Emirates region, Korea and more.
Consistency in regulations and formats means a driver can compete in Australia before travelling overseas to race in a similar environment and in almost identical Radical machinery.
The battle for the 2022 Radical Cup Australia series commences this weekend at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with the battle for the overall series prize, Masters Cup and Rookie of the Year contests likely to be all extremely competitive.
19-cars are entered for the opening round which will include a pair of 25-minute races and a 50-minute mini-enduro as part of the Shannons Motorsport Australia event at the iconic Victorian circuit.
The two sprint races will be broadcast live on Stan Sport this weekend.

CHARISE BRISTOW – Category Manager
“The support from the factory shows how serious Radical are about building their brand in Australia,” Bristow said.
“It’s great for our competitors to have a serious prize to fight for at the end of the season, and getting the chance to travel to Europe and compete against the best Radical competitors around qualifies as that.
“Radical Cup Australia is part of the global Radical community and we would love nothing more than to see one of our drivers head overseas and showcase how strong our series is against the best Radical competitors in the world.”
