TITLE LEADER ON POINT IN THE BEND PRACTICE


Bing Technologies’ Chris Perini was fastest at The Bend Motorsport Park, in practice for the Radical Australia Cup season finale.


Perini’s fastest lap time of the day was a 1:51:397 in practice three. Adam Lisle and Jordan Oon had a notably successful day, being in the top five of all the sessions and topping practice two.


Less than a second separated the top five drivers on Friday, consisting of Chris Perini, Addam Lisle / Jordan Oon, Elliott Schutte, Caleb Sumich and Peter Paddon / Peter Carr.


On track action commences for the Radical Australian Cup at 8:40am on Saturday for their qualifying sessions, followed by Race 1 for the weekend at 1:40pm.


The category made their way out for the first practice of the weekend at 8am for the 20-minute session, in unusually warm conditions. Bing Technologies’ Chris Perini topped the practice with a 1:51.639, followed by competitors Caleb Sumich and Elliotte Schutte.


Current runner up in the championship Peter Paddon / Peter Carr finished fourth in practice one. Slim margins split the top three finishers with only five tenths between them.


Practice two commenced at 11:45am where Airise Racing’s Adam Lisle topped the times with a 1:51.725. Elliott Schutte and Terry Knowles followed Lisle finishing second and third in the session. The 20-minute practice was also in sunny and warm conditions.


Championship leader Chris Perini failed to make it out in practice two due to engine issues in the first session. Similarly, the top three finished their fastest laps within just under a second of each other.


Practice three started at 3:30pm in similar sunny conditions despite some rain in-between the sessions. Top of the times went to Perini with a 1:51:497, followed by Schutte and the Terry Knowles / Barton Mawer entry.


The top three were split by just over one second. Current runner up in the championship Peter Paddon with co-driver Peter Carr were fourth in practice three.
