A BUSY on-track schedule has been set for the opening round of the 2022 Radical Cup Australia at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
The new season commences alongside the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships event, which includes high profile classes like TCR Australia, GT World Challenge and S5000.
RCA competition commences on Friday, 18 March with the opening practice session to commence at 9:30am.
A further 20-minute session will start at 2:10pm and serve as a final systems check ahead of competitive action firing into life on Saturday.
Then, qualifying commences at 9:30am and will run for 30 minutes - deciding the grid for the first of two sprint races later that afternoon.
The first of a pair of 25-minute or 14 lap dashes around the 4.6km circuit will commence with a rolling start at 12:35pm.
Sunday, 20 March will see the day commence with a traditional 50-minute mini-enduro at 9:05am, before concluding with a second 14-lap sprint race at 11:55am.
The pair of 25-minute sprint races will be shown live and ad-break free on Stan Sport next weekend.
Stan has rights to key Shannons categories plus IndyCar, World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship and Formula E action.
Sunday morning's enduro will see live timing available via the series website, www.radicalcupaustralia.com.au.
