MELINDA PRICE will join the Workhorse Radical Cup Australia series this year, racing with Volante Rosso Motorsport.
Price will drive with Greg Kenny in a VR-prepared Radical SR3 this year, while the team has also confirmed a three-car entry to the championship this season.
Former Aussie open-wheel international pilot Josh Hunt will share with Peter Clare this year while teenager Alex Gardner will - as the team says - keep the average age of the VR squad down as he embarks on his first national racing campaign.
Price's addition to the Radical grid marks her return to national competition, following her well-known stint as a 'Castrol Cougar' in V8 Supercar racing in the 1990s.
“It has been a while since I’ve raced a national level category, but have been keeping my eye in over recent times with the Excel series in Queensland," Melinda Price said.
"I definitely haven’t lost any competitive desire and am aiming to be right there.”
Price and the entire VR Squad will join a strong field building for the opening round of the 2023 series, to be run at Sydney Motorsport Park on June 16-18.
